Hooray! My final exam is over!

Hi everyone, sorry for the long absence. My final exam is finally over. WHAT A RELIEF!!!!!!  I am very happy because I  do not need to do anymore  revision til late at night.  Sitting for exams in a Chinese school is no joke and is not easy because I have to sit for 9 subjects which comprise of  11 papers altogether. The 9 subjects are Chinese language (Mandarin), English, Malay language, Mathematics in English, Maths in Chinese Language, Science in English, Science in Chinese language, Moral Studies and Health Education.WHAT A LOAD! AND I AM ONLY 8 YEARS OLD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  Well everyone, sad to say but this is my school life, homework and exams, homework and exams, homework and exams............SO TEDIOUS !

But luckily I have many friends in my class. My class is 2F and next year I will be  in 3F. My friends are Moh Yen Syeun, Fang Kye Lyn Chloe, Agnes, Summer Fu, Sujitra, Carmon, Twinny , Eusebia and Chang Qiao Wen. My best friends are Moh Yen Syeun, Eusebia and Fang kye Lyn.  Moh Yen Syeun  helps me in my studies and she  will be a prefect next year.  Eusebia shares her story books with me and Fang Kye Lyn always encourages me to try new things. We will  also make funny faces and laugh at each other. So school can be FUN sometimes too.

MY FIRST PHOTOSTORY ABOUT MYSELF

This is the first time I used Photostory. It was easy and fun doing it. Have fun watching it.

My experiences in doing the book trailer

Hi, everyone
Doing my book trailer was very challenging. I did not know what a book trailer was and how to do a book trailer. Luckily my  mummy guided and  taught me how to do a book trailer. My mummy taught me how to use PhotoStory and Movie Maker. I also learnt how to take pictures and videos. I found out that shooting videos was not easy. My mummy had to video me more than 10 times when I played my gu zheng because I did many mistakes. Besides,  it was difficult to choose pictures and videos to do a 1.minute book trailer. However, I had fun adding animation and music to my book trailer. Now I know how to do a book trailer.

Book Trailer Alive!

Hi Aunty Anne.
How are you? I hope all are well at home. I speak Mandarin in school and the Hakka dialect at home. My favourite books are The Survival Series, science non-fiction books and Enid Blyton books.

My book trailer will make the Chinese Culture come alive. I got all my classmates to be involved. I will be touching on manners, calligraphy, traditional symbols,Chinese chess and Chinese music. I have videoed my classmates doing all the above as we all practise the Chinese Culture in our school everyday. I will play my gu-zheng, an ancient Chinese musical instrument. My mummy has videoed me. I hope you will like my book
trailer.

EXCITING EVENTS IN SEPTEMBER 2011

BOOK TRAILER

I am participating in the Melbourne Writers’ Festival. I am doing a book trailer. I am taking part in the Global Story Telling Event. My book trailer is about ‘The Origins of Chinese Culture’  which is about Calligraphy, Traditional Chinese symbols and music. I am reading this book because it is very interesting for  there are many delightful tales about how the Chinese Culture originated.  Furthermore, I want to know more about my roots since I am a mixed Chinese-Indian. The Chinese Culture is also reflected in my school and is practised by teachers and students for my school  is a Chinese school .
